How to pay

We introduced a 0.6% transaction fee on credit card payments on 1 February 2011. This fee covers the significant cost of accepting credit card payments.

It also applies to debit card payments made using credit card facilities. You can continue to pay your account electronically without incurring the fee by using Direct Debit or BPAY.

When we introduced the fee, we also introduced American Express as a payment method and removed the $5000 limit on credit card payments.

Online

Credit card payments can be made online at any time. We accept Mastercard, Visa and American Express. A transaction fee of 0.6% will apply to this payment.

Make sure you have your bill with you for relevant information. After your payment is processed, you will be provided with a receipt number.

BPAY is a centralised bill payment service that enables customers of the participating financial institutions to pay a wide variety of bills.  Your financial institution will advise if they participate in BPAY and if your account is suitable.

To use BPAY, first find the biller code and payment reference number on your Water Corporation account near the BPAY logo.  Then phone your bank or log onto your bank's website and follow the prompts.

You can pay BPAY from a savings or cheque account. There is no limit on payments from these accounts. A receipt is provided at the time of making a payment through BPAY.

From 1 February 2011, we no longer accept BPAY payments by credit card.
