Surface water is obtained from dams (storage reservoirs) in the Darling Range. Surface water sources have traditionally supplied approximately 25-45% of water in the Integrated Water Supply Scheme (IWSS). In future our reliance on dams will be reduced as we invest in new sources that are climate independent.
You can find out more about each of our Dams, including history, capacity and visitor information, by clicking on the links to the right.
