We are committed to building and maintaining relationships with Aboriginal people by endorsing a Statement of Commitment to Indigenous people and communities.
To help achieve this we aim to provide and promote opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation and employment, and create training and employment opportunities within the Water Corporation.
We are involved in a number of Aboriginal partnerships and programs, including a partnership with the David Wirrpunda Foundation, sponsorship of the Clontarf Foundation, and programs with the Ardyaloon Aboriginal Community and Roelands Village.

There are a range of different areas you can work in at the Water Corporation. These include Maintenance and Operations Workers, Customer Service Representatives, Engineering and Technical Specialists, Construction Workers, Human Resources and OSH, and many more.

We also have 3 career entry programs:
An apprenticeship allows you to get paid while attaining a trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Sheet Metal, Carpentry (Formwork), Welding or Boiler making disciplines.
A traineeship offers an opportunity to get paid while attaining the Certificate II in Water Industry Operations.
Attend training at Central TAFE and also receive full time on the job training and support with our Engineering Associate Traineeship program.
We have a number of identified positions classified under Section 50 (d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.
