Each year around 51,000 litres of water could be collected from a 125m2 roof area and used to supply part of your household's water needs. By plumbing in a rainwater tank, you can help save our precious water and reduce the stress climate change is putting on our State's water supplies. The Rainwater Reward Program is a water efficiency program offered by the Corporation for residential and non-residential customers in the Lower Great Southern.
The program is available to all scheme water users in the following towns:
Albany;
Cranbrook;
Denmark;
Frankland;
Kendenup;
Mount Barker;
Narrikup; and
Walpole.
If you are a property owner and you purchase and plumb in a rainwater tank for internal use, (such as clothes washing and toilet flushing), between 1 November 2010 and 30 June 2013, you can apply for one of the following Water Corporation Rainwater Rewards:
for a new rainwater tank* that is plumbed in has a reward of up to $1000 or the cost of the tank and plumbing - whichever is the lesser amount;
OR
for an existing tank* to be plumbed in has a reward of up to $500 or the cost of the plumbing work - whichever is the lesser amount. (eg. if costs $200 to plumb in the tank, you will receive an equivalent amount);
OR

Purchases for this program must be made between 1 November 2010 - 30 June 2013. Customers have from 1 November 2010 - 30 June 2013 to claim a reward.
The total value of rewards offered is limited and must be claimed over the period of 1 November 2010 to 30 June 2013. Rewards will cease on 30 June 2013 or when the program funds have been expended.
