The Water Corporation on Twitter

The @watercorpwa Twitter account is managed by the Communications team, on behalf of colleagues across the Water Corporation.

We do not use any automation (such as tools which generate tweets from RSS feeds) to post content on Twitter.

If you follow us, you can expect between 1 - 5 tweets a day covering the following:

  • Waterwise tips
  • Water use
  • Project updates
  • Invitations to provide feedback on specific topics or issues

Being followed

We do not automatically follow back new followers. Due to resources, we infrequently review our follower list and follow back relevant accounts.  Being followed back does not imply endorsement of any kind.

Availability

We will update and monitor our Twitter account during office hours, Monday to Friday. In special circumstances we may update our page in the evenings or weekends. There may be circumstances outside of our control where Twitter is unavailable. We apologise in advance if this causes any inconvenience. In this instance you may be able to find the information you are looking for on our website.

@Replies and direct messages

We welcome feedback and ideas from all our followers, and endeavour to join the conversation where possible. However, we are not able to reply individually to all the messages we receive via Twitter.

The Water Corporation Communications team reads all @replies and direct messages and ensures that any emerging themes or helpful suggestions are passed to the relevant people in the Water Corporation.

We cannot engage on issues which break the rules of our general media policy.

The usual ways of contacting The Water Corporation for official correspondence are detailed in the About us > Contact us section of this website
