We teamed up with business and industry to develop a suite of water saving programs to help you save water and money.
From the newly created Waterwise Approved program and our Waterwise Specialists and Waterwise Councils, to a range of water saving programs such as Showerhead Swap, H2ome Smart, Toilets to go and Rainwater Reward, here you will find initiatives and services to help you save water in your home.

H2ome Smart is a program currently running for our customers in Perth, Geraldton, the North West and Great Southern Regions. It's a FREE program that will help you use less water in your home. The program runs for 12 months in Perth, North West and Great Southern, and 5 months in Geraldton.
Once you you are part of the program we will contact you and provide one-to-one advice on areas where water savings can be made. Your home may also be eligible for a FREE Waterwise upgrade which includes the supply and installation of highly efficient showerheads, dual flush toilets, tap aerators and the repair of visibly leaking taps and toilets.
H2O Smart is a FREE water efficiency improvement program for selected small to medium non-residential customers in the North West and Great Southern regions. The program is jointly funded by the Water Corporation and the Australian Government's Water for the Future initiative to reduce stress on schemes under pressure in selected regional areas of WA.

Rainwater Reward is a program available to all scheme water users in the Lower Great Southern Region. We will offer you a monetary reward for plumbing in a new or existing rainwater tank for internal use.
By plumbing in a rainwater tank, you can help save our precious water and reduce the stress climate change is putting on our State's water supplies. The program is available to residential and non-residential customers in the following towns: Albany, Cranbrook, Denmark, Frankland, Kendenup, Mount Barker, Narrikup and, Walpole.

Showerhead Swap is a water saving program from the Water Corporation supported by the Federal Government's Water for the Future initiative. Households in the Perth metropolitan area can swap up to two old water guzzling showerheads for highly efficient replacements absolutely FREE!
Installing a water efficient showerhead is the best way to save water inside the home. By switching to highly efficient showerheads you can save between 20 and 30 litres of water per day.

We have partnered with Select Solutions to offer households and businesses in the Perth metropolitan area, Mandurah and Geraldton the opportunity to upgrade their single flush or inefficient dual flush toilet for a Caroma 4-star dual flush toilet for up to 30%* less than the regular supply and installation price.
Switching from a single flush toilet to a dual flush system can save around 90 litres of water a day that's 33,000 litres a year.
*Percentage based on comparison of standard installation costs plus RRP of the toilet and does not include additional work if required. Further charges apply for non-standard installations. Includes GST.

The Waterwise Approved program incorporates various programs that are designed to make saving water easier for you. It includes programs such as Waterwise Display Villages and Land Developments, Waterwise Partners, Waterwise Plants and the newly created Waterwise Approved products, aimed at increasing consumer confidence when purchasing water saving products for your garden.

The Water Corporation and the Department of Water, with support from the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI) – Local Governments for Sustainability, have developed a Waterwise Council program. The aim of this program is to build a co-operative working relationship with local governments to improve water use efficiency in local government and their communities.
